LEAGUE PLAY RULES FOR 7v7 MIAMI ATHLETIC CLUB WINTER LEAGUE
● INITIAL REGISTRATION to be made by email to MIAMI ATHLETIC CLUB DIRECTORS of the current roster and passes before the start of the league.
● NO OFFSIDES.
● KICKS IN ONLY. MUST BE TAKEN BEHIND THE LINE.
● YOU CAN NOT SCORE FROM A KICK-IN ON THE SIDELINES
● NO PUNTING/OR DROP-KICKING
● NO HEADING FOR U11 AND UNDER DIVISIONS
● NO BUILD-OUT LINE
● SUBSTITUTIONS done on the fly but players being subbed must be coming off the field before the new sub may enter.
● GAME LENGTH 40 mins teams will switch sides at 20 min mark.
● RUNNING CLOCK, no additional time will be added.
● NO HALF TIME other than the sides switching.
● HOME TEAM will need to change jerseys if the referee determines an issue. AWAY TEAM begins to kick off. HOME TEAM decides what goal to defend.
● BALL SIZE 4 for U9-U12. BALL SIZE 5 for U13 and older.
● TEAM RUNNING LATE a grace period of 5 minutes is allotted. Game time will be reduced. A minimum number of players able to take the field is 5, anything lower is discretion to forfeit by the tournament director on site.
● Weather cancelations if any to be notified by email to the head coach of each team. Our makeup date(s) is provided on the website.
● Teams finishing with the same amount of points, winner determined by head to head.
● Accumulation of 2 yellow cards leading to red is suspended from that game and the next scheduled game.
● In the event of snowfall the facility will plow the field to assure all games get played
● If the temperatures get low we will follow the US Soccer Cold Weather Guidelines.
● If deemed too cold in the morning by US Soccer guidelines but temperatures shall rise throughout the delay we will push back start times.
